Working from home, not always easy...

We have to stay home, and to work from there, and sometimes, it can be pretty hard.

The main difficulty for me is called Rainbow. That's her on my lap, on the photo.

She is nine years old, but she's still a baby. Or a kitten, I should say. She always wants me to play with her, or pet her.

Her favourite toy is a ball the shape of a kiwi, and stuffed with catnip. She can play with it for hours. And when she's fed up, she walks in circles around me until I let her jump on my lap. You'd think once she's there, she would just take a nap and let me work. But you'd be wrong. If I don't pet her properly, she bites me softly, or climbs on the desk to sit between my eyes and the computer screen.

I sometimes wish I could bring her with me at work. She would distract you, and I'm sure you'd give her all the attention she needs.

Confined but fine !

Welcome to my place.

Confinement can be pretty boring. But not for me. First of all, I have a lot of work to do. As you know, I have a few of your papers to grade, I have to prepare new lessons, answer your mails, and many other things. But I also take a few breaks now and then.

This is my batcave. My own sofa, and all my geek stuff. My video games, my comic books and mangas, my magazines, a place where I can rest a little.

This is my DVD and Blu-ray collection. Well, part of it. I have around 500 of them : TV series, sci-fi movies, action movies, blockbusters, westerns, and a lot of zombie movies. If only I had enough time to watch them all...

Let's stay in shape. A little exercise every now and then, just to avoid dying of a heart attack in the next few years. And in the background, my training white board (yep, even at home, a teacher remains a teacher) and my board games. My wife and I love playing them, we started with Zombicide a few years ago, and we now have more than 50 games.

And my drawings. All around me, on the walls. Ninja Turtles were the first characters I drew, when I was a child, and I still love drawing them. And of course, Dragon Ball and Star Wars, which I discovered as a teenager but still enjoy today.

So yep, we're confined, but I'm still comfortable and hope you all are.

This is me, at my desk (and yeah, it's almost as messy as the other one I have in classroom 508), and that's where I got this idea. And as you can see on the photo, I'm in my slippers. One of the advantages of teleworking ! I was reading your emails, correcting your homework, preparing new lessons and exercises to put online, but it felt a bit strange.

I didn't think so before, but I know it now : I need to be with you. You're an important part of my life, colleagues, pupils. We spend time together, we sometimes share a laugh, and that's one of the things I miss the most. And as my wife's teleworking too, I can't use our only computer whenever I want, so it's not easy for me to chat online.

So that's why I had this idea : I want to hear from you. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm sure you call your closest friends every now and then, but I'm also sure some other classmates or teachers would like to know how you're doing. So just tell them !
